"I've never had a website. What will I be responsible for?"

This is a common question for start-ups and business owners ready to improve their online presence. To start, here are the four most important items you'll need.

• Domain – You need a domain, or a ".com." Most potential clients already have this. If not, we can help.
• Logo – Aside from a domain, you'll need a logo to begin moving forward. Similar to a domain, if you don't have one, we can help.
• Photography – Whether this is a simple site or a full-out digital storefront, we'll need the best photography possible. Professional is great. If not, clear cellphone photos can work. Photos are vital for a professional website. Any videos related to your business are also welcomed.
• Business Information – We'll need to learn about your business – Your services, products, target audience, history, etc. A thoughtful email outlining your company will help immensely. We also have a short questionnaire we'll provide to help gather details for the site's copy.

Your in good hands. Before we were web designers, we were writers. So copywriting comes natural, however, we'll still need as much information as possible to get us pointed in the right direction.

"What's the cost?"

Of course, this varies greatly depending on the size of the website, the features requested, and your marketing goals. While we don't throw numbers out without wrapping our heads around the project, we understand people want a price-point to determine if it's worth the consideration.

We often hear, "I don't want anything special. Just a simple site." While we respect that, even the smallest site requires many hours of work and detail. Our baseline package starts at about $1,500. Larger, more detailed sites, which may include eCommerce, reach costs between $5,000 and $10,000.

That said, if you’re working with a specific budget, we can likely customize a package to fit your needs — within reason.

"What's the first step?"

Contacting us via phone, text, email or online form. We'll then arrange a call to discuss the project and discovery your goals, and see if we're the right fit to work together.

"If I want to move forward, what would be the next step?"

In addition to your logo, photos and business information, we'll need a 50% deposit to begin the project. The balance will be due when you approve the site's final design and we're ready to go live.

"What's the turnaround time to have a site live?"

From our initial discovery meeting and received deposit, most sites can be fully functional and live within 10 to 20 business days (two to four weeks). 100+ product online shops may require more time. We install Google Search Console and request indexing on all our sites, meaning your website will display on Google within days of it's completion/launch.

"In addition to buying a domain and the design of the site, are their other costs?"

Yes, hosting. Every site is hosted on a server. There are numerous hosting providers out there. Aside from our Shopify-built online stores, we host all our sites at Siteground.com, which provides ultra-fast, secure hosting solutions and terrific support. You can either purchase your own hosting plan, and provide us with the login details. Or, we can include your new site in one of our NCM Siteground accounts, which we discount and charge annually. In our account, your first year of hosting is free.
